David McConochie has been awarded first prize in the fifth annual Book Illustration competition held by The Folio Society and The House of Illustration David created the Cover and three further Illustrations for The Folio Book of Ghost Stories, The Treasure of Abbott Thomas by MR James, A Tale of an Empty House by EF Benson and the Upper Berth by F Marion Crawford. Davids winning work was described as "elegant and suddenly terrifying" by Siobhan Palmer
